Buying a Home

Homes are extremely affordable and interest rates are still very low. If you are considering purchasing a home if you purchase now it is possible that your mortgage payment will be equal to or less than what you are paying in rent.

If you are a first time home buyer the process can be a complex and confusing process. I promise to help you every step of the way and protect your interests. In short, here are the steps:

  1. Pre-qualification. If you are not already prequalified, I know several excellent lenders that can make sure that you will purchase a home that is within your budget.
  2. Consultation. Next I will sit down with you and your family to discuss what are the most important features that you are looking for in a home. I will listen to your needs and do everything possible to find the home of your dreams.
  3. Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and Home Search. I will set up an auto email system so that you will be notified as soon as a home that matches your criteria is listed. Let's be the first ones to view the property so we can submit your offer and get the process of getting you into your new home started.
  4. Escrow. This step can be the most challenging one in these days of forclosures and short sales. Frustration may set in as you wait to find out if your offer is accepted. I promise to give you regular updates so that you know where you stand...good news or bad, every step of the way.
  5. Finally...Closing. Now is the time to sign your loan and escrow documents. The most exciting part is when I hand you the keys to your new home.
